Nameservers, DNS records, transfer lock and transfer code

Registering, transferring and managing domain names.

Open the domain under Domains. These tools are available while the domain is active.

Nameservers

Enter the nameservers your site or email host gives you, then Save nameservers. Changes can take a few hours to reach everyone.

DNS records

If DNS management is enabled for the domain, use Add record to create A, AAAA, CNAME, MX or TXT records. Records only take effect while the domain uses our nameservers.

Transfer lock

Transfer lock stops the domain moving to another registrar without you. Leave it on unless you are moving the domain away.

Moving a domain away

Turn the lock off and use Show transfer code. Give that code to your new registrar.

Renewals

Auto-renew invoices you before the expiry date. You can also use Renew now at any time.
