Getting started with your VPS
Virtual servers with full root access.
Your VPS has dedicated vCPU, RAM and NVMe storage, and you have full root access.
- When the server is ready, its IP address appears on the service page and we email your access details.
- Sign in over SSH as root and change the password straight away. Better still, add an SSH key and turn off password logins.
- Keep the operating system updated and run only the services you need behind a firewall.
You manage everything inside the server: software, firewall rules and reboots. Our service level covers the platform underneath it; see our Service Level Agreement at scb.network/legal/sla.
