Cookie Policy
Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor and is not in force. Highlighted items are details SCB Network still has to confirm.
We keep cookies to the minimum. We use only cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in, take payments securely and protect our services. We use no advertising, analytics or social-media cookies, which is why we do not show a cookie banner.
01What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in a similar way. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), a website must ask for your consent before using them, unless they are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for.
02Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
scb_session | Keeps you signed in to the client area. Secure and HttpOnly: page scripts cannot read it. | Until you close your browser, or 30 days if you choose to stay signed in |
WHMCS… | Session for our billing system, used during some payment and service sign-in steps. | Until you close your browser |
scb.cart.v1 | Local storage, not a cookie: remembers the items in your basket so a page refresh does not lose them. | Until you check out or empty the basket |
03Cookies set by our providers
| Name | Provider and purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
__cf_bm, cf_clearance | Cloudflare: tells people apart from automated attack traffic. | 30 minutes / up to 1 year |
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe: set only on the payment screen, to prevent card fraud. | 1 year / 30 minutes |
See Cloudflare's cookie policy and Stripe's cookie policy for details.
04Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because all of the cookies above are strictly necessary, blocking them will stop you signing in to the client area or paying online, but the public website will still work.
05Changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, such as for analytics, we will update this page and ask for your consent before setting it.
